On Monday 19 May, Fiona, Cassie and Hiren went to Arsenal with the other Arsenal Challenge winners to showcase work done so far and encourage people to experience the OneNil app using an Oculus headset…

Outcomes so far:
- OneNil – functional prototype VR app, offering people the chance to practice key vocal cord exercises.
- Calibration for each user, providing baseline speech volume and adjusting settings for stereophonic sound.
- ‘AAAH’ exercise/game, devised by Sarah-Jane Lewis, that offers feedback on people’s individual progress – sustaining a given volume for as long as possible.
- Full recordings of voice-overs by John Ward (voice actor who freely gave his time).

Impact – ongoing:
- Liaising with Rhys Ratcliffe and Parkinson’s Walking Football team at Arsenal, making new contacts and sharing ideas.
- Gathering great feedback and suggestions from football team during the design process.
- Recruiting volunteers for future testing.
